Summary: The Senior HSE Advisor will oversee the implementation of the Project HSE Management Plan for an HVDC Substation associated with an offshore Wind Farm project. This role involves ensuring compliance with OHSAS 18001 and liaising with the Consortium Management Team while reporting to the Project Director and Client. The position is based in Lowestoft with hybrid working arrangements. The advisor will promote HSE best practices and manage risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaison with the client’s HSE management team.
- Development of HSE risk management plans.
- Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with HSE requirements.
- Act as HSE Lead at meetings.
- Promote excellent HSE practices throughout all project activities.
- Develop effective Risk Assessment management strategies.
- Develop health and safety policies, procedures and guidance.
- Planning and implementation of HSE audits.
- Ensure that a safety culture is encouraged at the project sites.
- Manage the Investigation of all accidents and near-misses.
- Undertake project site safety inspections.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of an HNC in an appropriate discipline.
- Qualified in/have detailed experience of ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS18001 Management Systems.
- NEBOSH diploma or equivalent.
- Member of IOSH.
- Extensive experience in an HSE Management role in the offshore wind industry.
- Experience with offshore HVDC substation projects.
- Willingness to travel to project and manufacturing sites across the UK, Europe, and Asia.
